On 17, Aug 2018 | In General | By Jan Tenhaven

German’s leading weekly paper DIE ZEIT has chosen my documentary SILICON VALLEY REVOLUTION to be included into their new knowledge canon. In the headline of this page one story it reads: “A cmodern canon of hundred masterpieces.” Well, perhaps this is slightly exaggerated but we are still very happy about this great honor.

BERLIN CLEANS! DIRTY TIMES

On 29, Jan 2018 | In General | By Jan Tenhaven

They are the silent heroes of the big city and without them Berlin would suffocate in trash; the workers who clean our city toilets, streets, chimneys and sewers. The new rbb-documentary series BERLIN CLEANS! DIRTY TIMES (5x 45 minutes) is an homage to the many people in these jobs, who normally work in silence or at night in order to keep the city clean.

Short list German Television Award

On 21, Feb 2017 | In General | By Jan Tenhaven

Today the program Make Love has been nominated for the German Television Award 2017 (Deutscher Fernsehpreis). For the production of the first season, I had been involved as a Director of Editing plus I did a tiny bit of development, but most of the honour goes to my fantastic colleagues Tristan Ferland Milewski (Director) and Christian Beetz (Producer) who worked very hard to make this fresh and innovative new format a success.

The press had been full of praise from the very beginning: “Truly good.” (DIE ZEIT),  “Astonishing, not all awkward but authentic and informative” (Focus).
